Choose a Home Building Contract

At Hanna Creek, we understand that building a custom home is a complex and personal process. That’s why we offer a range of building contracts to suit your specific needs. Our goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

  • Cost Plus Contract: This contract requires the homeowner and builder to work closely together, often reviewing sub-trade work and hours worked. This type of contract allows for flexibility in decision-making and can help ensure that the project stays within budget.
  • Fixed Price Contract: This contract provides a set price for the construction of your home, based on current building costs. With a fixed-price contract, you have a clear understanding of the costs upfront, and there are no unexpected expenses along the way.
  • Monthly Fixed Price Management Fee Contract: Under this contract, the homeowner hires Hanna Creek for a monthly fixed price management fee and pays all other trades directly. This type of contract allows for more control over the budget, and helps ensure that the project stays on track.

We are committed to delivering high-quality custom homes that are both beautiful and sustainable. Whether you choose a cost-plus, fixed-price, or monthly fixed-price management fee contract, our team will work closely with you to ensure that your dream home becomes a reality.

In British Columbia, the building code is divided into different sections depending on the type of building. Part 9 applies to simpler structures like single-family homes and duplexes, while Part 3 covers more complex buildings, such as multi-family residences. Recent changes in the building code may impact your project, depending on which category it falls under. Make sure you speak with us before getting too far ahead in your project.
